OMNI ART EXPO

In 2021, during the pandemic, many international students in the United States were unable to hold offline graduation shows. Together with alumni in China, I initiated and organized an art-school exhibition across student associations from 10 universities in the United States.

The project collected more than 1,000 submissions and ultimately selected over 200 works for a public exhibition. It was not only an exhibition, but also an attempt to give overseas art and design students an offline graduation-show experience during a difficult time.

Together with alumni, we chose Xintai Warehouse, a century-old building in Shanghai, as the exhibition venue. The opening received support and visits from the Shanghai municipal government, helping this student- and alumni-led exhibition gain broader public attention.
